Thanks Sandi! The pattern link is in the caption to the photo. This pattern is a goldmine; think of all the different ways each of those design elements could be used in future projects! I love mosaic knitting; once you get the concept it's so easy and translates well from project to project.
You’re a talented knitting artist! I love silk, wool, and cashmere scarves and shawls with beautiful patterns and colors. I've collected dozens, way more than I need to keep warm. Sometimes I use them as wall arts, rotating with the seasons. It makes me feel less guilty about my splurge spending.
Sorry, I just saw this comment! Thanks for the kind words; knitting brings me joy. I'm going to start thinking about how some of my work might be used as wall art.
Thanks Bree - it's quite easy; I love mosaic knitting. It's so versatile. I'll keep the wall art idea in mind; this is way too heavy for that but a smaller version in light worsted wool would definitely work! The original pattern is for a wrap, so it calls for two mirrored pieces to be grafted together with a substantial area of plain stitching; not necessary for a blanket.
I'm a tad concerned about the finishing; the pattern calls for picking up selvedge stitches to form a garter edging, and this is not my greatest skill. We'll see how it goes! I might just whipstich (not a knitting term) a sort of hem on each side. It will be rustic, but I think it will work with these motifs.
Your throw is looking marvelous! I love the sampler effect of all those mosaic patterns.

So happy for you to be able to find calm in these challenging times. Enjoy
Thanks Jan! I know you get it. <3
